DOURO D.O.C. RED 2013

 

ORIGIN: Upper Douro – Wine Douro DOC Red 2011.

 

GRAPE VARIETY: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz.

 

ALCOHOL: 13,5% vol.alc.

 

YEAR: 2011

 

WINEMAKING: Machine harvested grapes during the night to avoid high temperatures;

                          Imediately destemed grapes when inside the winery;

                          Tanning fermentation in stainless steel open vats.

 

STAGE: 4 months in stainless steel tanks and Portuguese oak.

 

TASTING NOTES:

 

Visual: Intense ruby color

Aroma: ripe fruit remember spices, cocoa and coffe.

Flavor: The palate is full-bodied and dense, elegant and distinct, with long persistent.

 

TOTAL PRODUCTION: 30.000 bottles

PAIRING: Perfect to pair with food dishes based on meat, sausages and cheese. It is also very nice to taste it with small dishes of "Tapas" or just by it self.

 

INFO: It should be served at a temperature between 16ªC and 18ºC.

           It should be stored horizontally in a dry and cool place.
